Posts Worth Mentioning – I Missed a Week Edition
TAotT was a bit neglected last week. I was working long hours in preparation of my employer’s software release on 10/15, so the posts were lacking, including my usual Sunday link-o-rama. I’m making up for it this week. Here are some posts I enjoyed reading this week, and I think you’ll enjoy them, too:
- It’s a weird market out there, and we’re apt to panic. Bible Money Matters gives us 7 things you shouldn’t do in an economic crisis, and it’s very sound advice.
- I often write about why credit cards are terrible, even if you have 0% interest and a cash-back reward system because at the end of the day you lose money. ChristianPF offers a post that proves 0% credit cards are not free.
- Debt is no friend of mine, and in this market that opinion is gaining in popularity. Not the jet set gives us a taste of reality as to why Debt is bad.
- Obama seems to have a bead on what it means to be rich. To him, it’s an annual salary of $250,000. $159,999 is just middle-class, but $250k is decidedly wealthy. Well, I can’t say I buy into that definition. I think Frugal Dad’s definition of being rich is more aligned with the truth. Hopefully Obama won’t figure out a way to tax wealth that’s not defined by dollar signs! It’d be called a “Happy Tax.”
